If you are a tax exempt individual or business, you MUST provide the necessary information AND be pre-approved prior to placing your order. Refunds will not be granted if you have not completed the tax-exempt requirements prior to charging your card.

Tax exemptions

If you are a tax exempt individual or business, you MUST provide the necessary information AND be pre-approved prior to placing your order. Refunds will not be granted if you have not completed the tax-exempt requirements prior to charging your card.

Partial exemptions

Our enterprise resource planning system (ERP) does not support partial exemptions. If your business entity qualifies for a partial exemption, you must contact us at accounts.receivable@metergroup.com.

Pre-approval process

What you must provide:

  • The state you are enrolled in for an exemption.
  • Exemption form. The document must match the business name or address on the account making the purchase.

We do not accept:

  • Sales tax permits
  • Articles of incorporation
  • Tax licenses
  • IRS determination letter (unless required by state law),
  • W9
