Target Alerts

Target alerts help you monitor data. You can create alerts to track environmental measurements.

Alerts help you monitor your data. You can configure alerts on targets to track measurements, then set up Notification Groups to receive email notifications.


Accessing Alerts

From the Explorer, select a chart that already has a target, or add a target to a new or existing chart. Or, the Alerts page will contain a list of all configured alerts.


Configure Alert

Follow these steps to configure an alert on your target.

  1. Click the three dots menu on the target and select Alert
  2. Choose which measurements should trigger the alert

Define the alert conditions:

  1. Target Ranges - Alert when the value is above, below, or outside the target
  2. Thresholds - Alert when values are above or below the threshold
  3. Optional: Add a custom message to include with your alert notification
  4. Choose an existing Notification Group or select Create Group to set up a new one
  5. Click Save

Disable Alert

Follow these steps to temporarily disable an alert without deleting it

  1. Click the three dots menu on the target and select Alert
  2. Toggle the Disable switch to the on position
  3. Click Save


Create Notification Groups

Notification Groups allow you to organize who receives alerts and how they are delivered:

  1. Click Create Group
  2. Enter a clear name for the group
  3. Select members to add to the group
  4. Click Manage Notifications to choose how members receive alerts (Email only right now)
  5. Click Create


Manage Notification Groups

You can modify existing notification groups:

  1. Once a group is assigned to an alert, click on the group name or select the three-dot menu and choose Manage
  2. Add or remove members from the group
  3. Click Manage Notifications to update the delivery method (Email only for now)
  4. To unassign a group from an alert, click the three-dot menu and select Remove
