Introducing ZENTRA Cloud 2.0
ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is the next‑generation platform from METER Group
The next generation of environmental data management
ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is the next‑generation platform from METER Group—built to help you view, analyze, share, and act on environmental data with more speed, flexibility, and control. With a cleaner interface, powerful new analysis tools, and modern collaboration workflows, ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 makes it easier to manage devices, understand data, and scale your work.
ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 officially launches March 2, 2026 and will coexist with ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 during a guided transition period.
What’s new in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0

- Migration of legacy subscriptions from ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 to 2.0
- Legacy subscription dates will be preserved
- Subscription status will continue syncing to 1.0 to prevent service interruptions
- See Subscription Usage for more information about subscription management in 2.0.
Regional servers (EU and China) are planned for the future, with availability dates to be announced.
Remote device configuration in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0
Starting March 2, 2026, ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 supports remote device configuration. How a device transitions depends on whether it already belongs to an organization in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0.
Devices not yet in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0
- If a device does not have an organization in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0, it will automatically transition to allow configuration changes from ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 as soon as it is added there.
- No additional steps or support assistance are required.
Devices already in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0
- If a device is already associated with an organization in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0, configuration control does not automatically switch.
- These devices can be manually transitioned to allow configuration changes from ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 with the help of METER Support.
- Once transitioned, all future configuration changes should be made in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0.
During the transition, data continues to flow to both platforms simultaneously, ensuring uninterrupted access to historical and live data.
How the transition works
ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is a replacement for ZENTRA Cloud 1.0, but both platforms will coexist for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.
Key things to know
- Your data continues to flow to both platforms simultaneously
- Data in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 remains accessible during and after the migration
- No immediate action is required to keep your data safe
- METER will announce timelines well in advance of any future 1.0 shutdown
For API users
- ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 APIs (v3/v4) will continue to work during the transition
- Long‑term, all integrations will move to API v5
- Subscription status will sync between platforms to prevent API interruptions
