Firmware Update
If the data logger firmware is out of date, ZENTRA Utility will prompt to start a firmware update.
ZENTRA Utility checks for the newest version of firmware from METER. If a newer version is available, ZENTRA Utility downloads the firmware. When ZENTRA Utility connects to a data logger, it compares the firmware on the logger with the latest version available. If the data logger firmware is out of date, ZENTRA Utility will prompt to start a firmware update. ZENTRA Utility maintains a cache of logger firmware to allow field firmware updates without a connection to the internet.
Some METER sensors (e.g., ATMOS and TEROS sensors) allow for firmware updates via ZENTRA Utility. Please consult the sensor user manual for more details.
ZENTRA Utility Mobile
- Connect to the data logger with ZENTRA Utility Mobile.
- Follow the firmware update prompts if shown. If no prompt,
- Tap More and then Device Tools. Select Update Device Firmware.
- Tap Update Firmware.
- Tap Start Update.
- Keep your phone close to your data logger until the update is finished.
- The update can take 3-5 minutes.
Steps
ZENTRA Utility
- Connect to the data logger with ZENTRA Utility.
- Follow the firmware update prompts if shown. If no prompt,
- Click Help in the Menu bar and select Check for Firmware Updates.
- Click Update Now to start the update.
- The update can take 3-5 minutes.
- After the update is finished, you will have to reconnect to the data logger.
