General
What is ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is the new platform for managing ZENTRA devices, analyzing data, and sharing insights through dashboards, projects, and advanced visualization tools. ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 and 2.0 will coexist for a period while feature parity is reached.

What is the URL for ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?
When does ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 launch?

ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 launches on March 2, 2026. See Introducing ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 for more information.

Transition from ZENTRA Cloud 1.0
Is ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 a replacement for ZENTRA Cloud 1.0?

Yes. ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 will replace ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 over time. Both platforms will remain available during a transition period while the remaining features are completed.

Will I still be able to access my data in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0?

Yes. Data will continue to be available in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 during and after the migration period. A future announcement will outline the timeline for shutting down ZENTRA Cloud 1.0.

If I add my devices to ZENTRA Cloud 2.0, will I still see data in 1.0?

Yes. During the transition period, data flows to both platforms simultaneously.

I have an account in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0. Do I need to create a new account in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Yes. ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is a completely new platform with improved security and user management. You will need to create a new account (username and password) to log in to ZENTRA Cloud 2.0.

Organizations & Projects
How are organizations different in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Organizations in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 include configurable time zones, clearer unit selection, updated member roles, and support for project workspaces that enable new ways to organize and share data.

What is a Project in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Projects allow you to group devices, data, and dashboards by study, field site, or purpose, making it easier to share and manage subsets of data within an organization.

What does the organization time zone setting do?

The organization time zone controls how environmental time‑series data is displayed throughout the application. It does not affect how data is collected or stored. Individual devices can still use a different time zone if needed.

Devices
Why can’t I configure my device name or ports yet?

Support for remote device configuration in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 is being rolled out on March 2nd. Availability depends on the device and how it was added to the platform. See Introducing ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 for more info.

Can I configure multiple devices at once?

Bulk device configuration is not currently supported, but this feature is planned for a future release.

How do I archive a device?

Archiving a device hides it from the main navigation while keeping it accessible in organization settings. Archived devices can be managed or restored at any time. See Archive for more information.

What device models are supported?

See Environmental Models for a complete list.

Data & Analysis
Can I average two measurements together?

Basic data transformations such as averaging measurements are not currently supported, but are planned for a future update.

Can I stitch data from multiple devices together?

Yes. ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 allows you to stitch measurements from compatible devices to maintain data continuity. Support for additional data types such as models is also coming.

What is the Explorer?

The Explorer is an analysis workspace that allows you to combine multiple data sources, add targets and statistical summaries, and customize graphs with unique names, colors, and views. See the Explorer for more info.

Does the Explorer support correlation graphs?

Correlation graphs are not currently supported.

Can I upload images?

Image upload support is coming soon. This feature will allow users to upload a limited number of images and associate them with a device. These images are intended for installation photos or other helpful reference images related to the device.

Tables, Dashboards & Visualization
Does ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 support tables?

Yes. Tables are supported on device views and within the Explorer when building custom graphs. Support for tables on the Dashboard is coming.

Can I add summary statistics to a graph?

Yes. Custom graphs support summary statistics such as minimum, maximum, average, and sum.

Can I add a line for accumulated precipitation, growing degree days (GDD), evapotranspiration (ET), or similar values?

Yes. In Explorer, you can add lines for calculated and aggregated statistics—such as accumulated precipitation, growing degree days, and evapotranspiration—using Explorer Statistics. These statistics can be applied over a selected time range and displayed alongside sensor data. For a full list of available statistics and how to use them, see the Explorer Statistics documentation.

Can I create more than one dashboard?

Yes. You can create multiple dashboards within your organization.

Can I resize graphs on a dashboard?

Yes. Dashboard graphs can be resized to fit your layout.

Alerts & Targets
What kinds of targets are supported?

Range and threshold targets are currently supported. Additional target types are planned for future releases.

What notification methods are supported?

Email notifications are currently supported. Additional notification methods are planned.

Subscriptions & Billing
How do subscription trials work?

Each organization is eligible for a single 14‑day trial. During the trial period, all devices in the organization are covered, including devices added after the trial begins. Once the trial ends, the organization is no longer eligible for additional trials.

Are subscriptions the same in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Subscription plans remain the same, including the Standard Plan and the 15‑minute High Data Plan for cellular devices. Subscription renewal and billing are now managed at the organization level, with pooled usage across devices.

Will subscriptions auto‑renew?

Yes. Active subscriptions automatically renew when there is account usage or valid billing information. Unsubscribed devices remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.

When will subscriptions be migrated from ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 to ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Subscription migrations from ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 to ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 are planned for April 2026. A more detailed timeline and additional information will be shared in advance—please watch for an official announcement.

I have an unredeemed subscription voucher ID. Can I redeem it in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Subscription voucher IDs issued for ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 can still be redeemed in 1.0. To redeem a 1.0 voucher in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0, the voucher must first be converted. Please contact METER Group support to request a voucher conversion.

APIs & Integrations
Is there a new API for ZENTRA Cloud 2.0?

Yes. ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 introduces a new v5 API, with additional publish/subscribe capabilities planned.

Is there a rate limit on the v5 API?

Yes. The v5 API enforces a steady‑state rate limit with short burst allowances. Details are available in the API documentation.

Because I use the Push API service in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0, do I need to worry about subscriptions in 1.0?

No. Once subscriptions are migrated to ZENTRA Cloud 2.0 in April 2026, subscription dates will automatically sync back to ZENTRA Cloud 1.0. This ensures continued operation of Push API services in 1.0 during and after the migration.

I use the Pull API in ZENTRA Cloud 1.0. Do I still need to add devices to 1.0 for the API to work?

Yes. Devices must be added to ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 to use the Pull API service associated with that platform.

I use the v3 or v4 API service. Will I need to migrate to v5?

Yes. While there is not yet a scheduled date to deprecate or shut down ZENTRA Cloud 1.0 services, all clients will eventually need to migrate to the v5 API and the new publish/subscribe service when available in ZENTRA Cloud 2.0.
